Alchemy is the ancient
extended figure
offered to the gods
lakes of molten lava
Innocuous; harmless

The poet wanders further
sounding of the old
weather in
river descending
fantasy or delusion

Where thy darkness
the dizzy ravine
allusion to Plato
the scream of phenomena

unseeing traces
invisible tracks
awe-filled questioning
